From Lhasa, you will depart for Yamdrok Lake, an amazing lake with a beautiful view of Mt. Nojin Kangtsang, which rises to 7191 meters. Yamdrok is a beautiful turquoise color that is regarded as holy to the Tibetan people.

Day 1

Arrival in Lhasa

Arrive in Lhasa, Tibet via plane or train. Upon arrival in Lhasa (3700m) you will be welcomed by your English-speaking Tibetan Guide and Tibetan Driver and we will bring you to your hotel.

Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 2

Lhasa tour with local guide

In Lhasa (3700m) we explore the Jokhang Temple, the most sacred monastery in Tibet, and the surrounding Barkhor Square, the bustling Lhasa market. In the afternoon we go to Sera Monastery to watch the monks debate in centuries-old manner.

Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 3

Lhasa tour with local guide

In Lhasa (3700m) we tour the Potala Palace, the winter palace of the Dalai Lama built in the 17th century by the fifth Dalai Lama, and Norbulinka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, built in the 18th century by the seventh Dalai Lama.

Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 4

Lhasa - Yamdrok Lake

You will travel from Lhasa to Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet’s holiest and most beautiful lakes. Yamdrok Lake sits at 4450m and is an amazing turquoise color. On the way to the lake we will be driving near the Yarlung Tsangpo river and also lots of small villages along the way. After driving about 90km then we will drive through the Gambala pass (4900m) See the view of the lake Yamdrok and drive down till the lake, Spend lots of time hike around and then drive back to Lhasa.

Day 5

Depart from Lhasa

Transfer to Lhasa train station or Lhasa airport.
