Tibet which is also called ‘Roof of the world’ is one the most beautiful places to visit. Tibet is geographically unique as it has clear skies, warm sunshine, clean fresh airs, vast grasslands, beautiful lakes, clean fresh air, lively prayer flags in villages, magnificent views of Himalayas, great Buddhist culture, monks wearing beautiful clothes and some welcoming locals you will ever meet in your lifetime. 1.Plan for the tour in advance– Tibet tours are booked at least 20 days before travelling. Normally it takes around 2–3 days to confirm the hotel booking. Furthermore, Tibet Tourism Bureau takes around 10 days to issue the Tibet Entry Permit. It is mandatory for all non-Chinese to have Tibet Entry Permit to visit Tibet. It is very important and will be checked at the airport and train station, and other places in Tibet.

2.Travel in group or travel single– Since 2015 travel regulation has become better and now you can either travel in group or travel single as a private trip, both is possible.

3.Stay healthy– Try to protect yourself from any type of cold or viral before entering in Tibet, If you can please bring daimox just incase. It is very important eat food with less oil and spicy as food is most important so please try local Tibetan food. Please bring warm clothes as weather in Tibet changes very quick.

4.Choose suitable time to visit– Tibet remains closed in the month of February and March since 2008. So, you can make your trip from April onwards to be on the safe side. Though best time to visit Tibet is from May to October. In these months weather is comfortable and pleasant but still November and December will be less people and also you will have good price with good view, only problem is Namtso lake and Kailash will be too cold and snow from November till the end of winter.

5.Don’t miss must see places
•The potala place- this is the highest prehistoric palace in the world. Its impressive physical structure and significance makes it one of the wonders of the world.
•Jokhan Temple- It is the spiritural hub of Tibet and is the holiest places for Tibetan Buddhist pilgrims.
•Sera Monastery- it is one of the biggest monasteries in Lhasa. Her debates take places between monks.
•Drepung monastery- This is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery.
•Lake Yamdrok- this is a breathtaking lake having turquoise water.
•Mount Everest –Roof of the world
•Namtso lake- biggest lake in central Tibet
•Eastern Tibet Kongpo area – Greeny region of Tibet

•Kailash- kailash is located in the Ngari region of Tibet. Mt. Kailash is famous as a sacred mountain for Hindus and Buddhists pilgrims. Their spiritual atmosphere and amazing scenery tempt ordinary visitors.

6.Clothes– pack all warm clothes, such as sweaters and mufflers. You will need these even in summer as there is big difference between day-night temperatures. Also bring sunscreen and sunglasses to protect you from sunlight.
