Tibet Travel Packing List

Tibet is a dream place for international and domestic tourists alike. If you prefer mountains over seas, then obviously there is nothing better than the majestic Himalayas to soothe your craving soul. Tibet is surrounded by mountains all around, and your trip will be made all the more special with the hearty behavior of the locals. However, since the place is situated at a high altitude, you need to carry things according to a Tibet travel packing list. With the right backpack, you can easily climb up to the roof of the world!

Visa and Entry Permit

Without the Chinese Visa and the Tibet Entry Permit, your entry to Tibet will be denied. These are the first and foremost things that you need to pack into your bag. In fact, you cannot even book flights to Tibet without the Tibetan Permit.

Clothing

It will be quite foolish of you to pack only woolen clothes! Though the altitude is quite high, remember that the sunlight is also much direct. Dress in layers so that it gets easier to open a hoodie or a jacket when feeling stuffy. However, since there is a drastic drop in the temperature during the night, you do need quite a few warm clothes. With a thick pant and a warm coat, you are good to go during the day.

Footwear

The rugged terrain is not a place where you can flaunt your fancy sandals and ballerinas! Boots or sports shoes will protect your feet from the cold, and you can trace your steps easily without hurting your feet in rocks or pebbles. If you want to take a slipper, use it inside the hotel.

Toiletries

Pack all your needful because the local shops in Tibet might not provide you with those things. Sanitizers, toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo and soap, disinfectants and a small towel are must-haves in the Tibet travel packing list. Most importantly, keep sunscreen with a high SPF and UV-protected sunglasses handy. Protect your skin and eyes from the harsh rays of the sun.
