I want to know about Tibet Travel Permit requirement. I am currently a German resident.

Hello Mr. Ransom, thanks for your query.
The Tibet Travel Permit is a necessary document for availing any of our Tibetan guided tours. To apply for the Permit, Chinese tourist (L) visa has to be obtained for single or multiple visits. If you have Chinese visa belonging to categories M, F, X and S, you can still apply for the Tibet Travel Permit. However, you need to submit a supporting letter from these Chinese visa categories.
If you are interested in one of our tours, please approach us at least 25 days to a month beforehand. We will start the process of Permit application which takes 25 days.
Documents you are required to provide us with are – clear photographs or scan copies of your passport photographs and valid Chinese L visa. After receiving the documents we start Permit steps.
