Lhasa is the cultural and religious heart of Tibet. Lhasa is home to Tibet’s most famous and holiest temples. Each day, thousands of pilgrims prostrate around Jokhang Temple, Tibet’s most important temple. Along with the famous monasteries of Sera and Drepung, Lhasa is a must see for anyone interested in Tibet! This itinerary will allow you to spend 4 full days exploring every part of the city.

Arrival in Lhasa
Upon arrival in Lhasa (3700m) you will be welcomed by your English-speaking Tibetan Guide and Tibetan Driver and we will bring you to your hotel.

In Lhasa (3700m) we explore the Jokhang Temple, the most sacred monastery in Tibet, and the surrounding Barkhor Square, the bustling Lhasa market. In the afternoon we vist Sera Monastery to watch the monks debate in centuries-old manner.

In Lhasa (3700m) we tour the Potala Palace, the winter palace of the Dalai Lama built in the 17th century by the fifth Dalai Lama.Norbulinka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, built in the 18th century by the seventh Dalai Lama. In the afternoon we visit Norbulinka, the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, built in the 18th century by the seventh Dalai Lama.

In Lhasa (3700m) we tour the Drepung monastery, one of the biggest Gelukpa sect monastery in Tibet, built by student of most famous Gelukpa master Tsongkapa. After Drepung visit Nechung Nunnery.
